The IBMS Congress is not only an opportunity for organisations and suppliers to exhibit their services and vast technologies, but it is also a chance for individuals to showcase the various scientific topics they have been researching, along with their findings, to spectators and judges.
From the second to the final day of Congress, many delegates presented their posters, including five staff members of Sonic Healthcare UK.
On Tuesday 15th March – when the exhibition officially opened to the public – Head of Learning and Development, Wendy Leversuch, presented her poster on an investigation into the use of online training videos in support of laboratory bench training.
Wendy Leversuch wins the poster competiton.
It was an incredible win for us that day, as her entry to the Education and Training section of the poster competition won first prize!

On the final day of Congress, Biomedical Scientist, Rizalea Echaluse, had the chance to talk through her poster on measuring the impact of digital dashboards on IQC/maintenance monitoring. Senior Biomedical Scientist, Melese Tedla, also presented his poster on the comparison of autoimmune diagnostic diabetic markers type-1 diabetes mellitus.
We acknowledge the hard work that goes into producing a poster and wish to congratulate our staff, as well as all those who attended Congress to present their research. Well done!
