At the end of April, Sonic Healthcare UK said goodbye and thank you to Professor Peter Chiodini as he stepped down from his role with HSL.
Professor Chiodini had been HSL’s consultant Speciality Lead for Parasitology since its inception and has worked in the field of parasitology for 37 years. The occasion was marked with a retirement social held in his honour by the staff of the Parasitology laboratory.
Not only is Professor Choidini eminent in his field of work, he has been recognised for his charity work on social mobility and was awarded an OBE in 2018 for services to parasitology and malaria diagnostics. HSL’s new Speciality Lead for Parasitology is Dr Laura Nabarro and we look forward to meeting her in a future news story.
