The Sonic Training Academy laboratory open day took place on 20 March 2024. Every member of staff from Sonic Healthcare UK (SHUK) was invited to visit the training laboratory, meet the Academy team and current apprentice students, and listen to how the Academy is striving to provide fundamental training to laboratory scientists.
The day also consisted of presentations delivered by apprentices who described their journey so far, how the Training Academy has impacted their experiences, what they hope to achieve for the future.
The event served to highlight just how far this initiative has reached in a relatively short space of time. It also demonstrated SHUK’s commitment to supporting its biomedical scientists’ learning and development.
The event was a great success! The Training Academy team extended their gratitude to all visitors who took the time out of their day to visit the laboratory, including colleagues from Manchester and Birmingham, alongside the executive team, SHUK CEO, David Byrne, and all apprentice students who were involved in the event.
